I’ve been working on my writer development programme submission this week and am happy to say it’s ready to go. Then begins the wait which is always the worst part. At the very least it has made me think about what I need to be doing next and that can’t be bad.
Today’s Goodreads quote caught my eye and is really quite à propos:
They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: someone to love, something to do and something to hope for …Tom Bodett
I’ve also finished The Year of The Flood – the second instalment of the MaddAddam trilogy by Margaret Atwood – a title just a tad too appropriate for the UK right now – except in the book it’s a waterless one. With a bit of luck and a slightly less than manic work week, I’ll get my review up in a couple of days.
One more thing before I go, confession time: I’ve already broken my resolution on no more books however this one is all in the name of research for my novel and am really looking forward to reading The Lost City of Stoke on Trent by Matthew Rice.
